Troubled pop singer Britney Spears has had her visitation rights with her children suspended until she complies with a court order.
Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon wrote in an order: “Petitioner’s (Spears’) visitation with the minor children is suspended pending the petitioner’s compliance with the court orders.”
The news is the latest in a bitter custody battle between Spears and her ex-husband Kevin Federline over their two sons, 2-year-old Sean Preston and 1-year-old Jayden James, since their divorce was finalised in July.
The order does not spell out what directives she defied.
Gordon has previously reprimanded the singer for not complying with court orders, saying that the earlier custody order taking her children away resulted from her own choices.
She was also ordered to undergo random drug tests after evidence was found that she engaged in “habitual, frequent and continuous use of controlled substances and alcohol.”
This is just the latest blow for the singer, who, as well as the bitter custody battle with Federline, has also had a very public breakdown where she shaved her head, partied constantly and was photographed without underwear.
Her big comeback at the MTV awards also fell flat when her lacklustre performance was described as “beyond pathetic” by celebrity blogger Perez Hilton.
